San Esteban, Salamanca

I like to make this my Sunday morning view, over an open El País. This plaza, Plaza of the Council of Trent, is one of Salamanca's loveliest. I did my best to capture it on my way back from Las Dueñas this morning.

  • Ahhhhh..... This takes me back.

I used to live a block up Gran Via from this lovely plaza. My favorite memory: when the sun came out in the early spring after a particularly wet winter and a solo guitar player decided to spend the afternoon serenading the passersby.

Thank you so much for providing the images of the places I dream about from time to time.

  • Well anon I'm willing to put my name on my opinion:
I prefer El Pais for the quality of the writing, the international news, the cultural and science sections, which are fabulous, the Sunday mag, and yes, for the New York Times section on Thursday which lets me catch on my country a little.
