  • When I was a kid living on a farm we played "guess the colour". We opened poppies before they blossomed and unravelled their petals.
    They come in many different colours... But red is my favourite. Great photo!

  • Cream, late reply, but I have only seen red, I think. Wild, everywhere, in Spain - along the roadside, growing out of walls, you name it. I'd open some to see what you guys (you too Nomadita) were after as kids, but I don't know, I hate to deny the world a fully bloomed poppy, or a poppy her chance to bloom.....LOL; I mustbe getting old...
