Top o' the morning to you
And, as my dutiful mother responded when I woke her with an energetic "top o' the morning" at 545 AM east coast US, "the rest of the day to yourself!"
Through the wonders of youtube, I offer up a set of reels by the Chieftains and friends, almost live, from Matt Molloy's in Westport, County Mayo.
Happy Saint Pat's Day from Salamanca!

Oh, love the music, never fails to send a chill down my spine, must have some traces of celtic blood running inside.

Thanks for the music!
So is this a US hangover? Are there enough Irish in Spain to really notice it there?

Yeh, lrb! Your Irish is far better than mine. I tried for a while, then gave up and moved to Spanish.;)
It's growing up in Providence with a name like Erin Patricia Corcoran is what is, Kate. Most of my family took Saint Pat's day off every year, and went to see my dad wherever he was doing his marathon (playing music). Erin Go Bragh? Ring any bells? ;)
No, in Salamanca I wait til a few days later, then head to O'Hara's for a pint. After the green beer college troops are done.
I did the spring cleaning listening to Irish tunes, all day long. :)
